With this new generation of linear guides, NSK delivers what customers want most of all -- smoother, more efficient performance combined with cost effective design. Smoother operation is the result of the new ball recirculation design, which incorporates molded resin for the ball recirculation circuit, to stabilize the friction force. The redesign also resulted in the new PU/PE linear guides being 20% lighter than conventional guides which also contributes to the smoother operation. The key to achieving cost effective design was to integrate the ball recirculation mechanism into one unit which decreases the number of parts and simplifies assembly. The unique labyrinth structures improve slider performance and provides an excellent seal to significantly reduce the generation of dust, making the PU/PE guides well suited to clean room applications. The elimination of metal-to-metal contact and the improved recirculation and ball groove profile translates into less noise and the use of stainless steel makes the units corrosion resistant.
