2005.07.11 <% if ( "" = "Top" ) then %> <% end if %> NSK Ltd. announces the development of a high-precision rolling guide, the NSK High-Accuracy series HS-Type Linear Guide (patent pending). The main feature of the High-Accuracy Series HS-type Linear Guide is its slider. The longer slide improves the overall motion accuracy by two-thirds than that of a conventional slider. Applications requiring extremely high accuracy have avoided cyclical motion accuracy errors by adopting an air slide or a sliding guide for their applications. Air slides suffer from low rigidity, are expensive and costly to maintain. The development of the HS-type Linear Guide is the result of our success with the HA-Type Series, specially created for machine tool applications. What is unique about the HS-Type is that it offers lower friction in a compact design for precision equipment applications. Applications would include LCD linear coating machines, dicers, slicers, precision measuring instruments, LCD repair equipment, plastics processing machines and other types of precision tables.
